We’re hitting the road and we hope you’ll join us!
The Career Everywhere Roadshow brings together leaders who believe career services must exist beyond the walls of one office. Join us for a day and a half of strategy and innovation as we collectively work to make career services accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
The Roadshow will take place August 1-2 on the MIT campus.

Why should you attend?
Learning and innovation is easier and more effective (and honestly, more fun) when you do it with friends. That’s why we want to bring together career services leaders across the country to network, strategize, and collaborate on ways we can embed career in classrooms, across campuses, and beyond — what we call Career Everywhere.
Each day and a half event will offer multiple sessions and discussions focused on sharing best practices and tactics. Speakers will cover topics like supporting and engaging faculty, equitably serving underrepresented student populations, embedding career into the classroom, and many others that align with a Career Everywhere approach to career services. Attendees will not only gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy behind Career Everywhere, but will also begin to build out their playbook for implementing strategies and tactics for their specific campus.
We believe there’s no better time than right now to be working in career services. We’re only just beginning to see the potential impact career services can have, not only on student success, but on institutional success as a whole. To realize this potential, it’s critical that we work together.

We’re excited about the programming we have in place for Day 1 and believe it really is “can’t-miss.” However, if you can’t make it for the first day, no worries, we’ll catch you on Day 2! There is no discount for only attending one day or the other.
Each attendee will, most importantly, leave with a playbook for what implementing Career Everywhere on their campus would entail based on interactive and in-depth sessions. But in addition to that, your registration fee covers an opening reception, light breakfast, lunch on day 2, plenty of coffee, and of course, great swag!
If you’re no longer able to attend we can provide a full refund up until two weeks before the scheduled event. We are unable to refund registration fees after that point.
Career services leaders and aspiring leaders (or those who influence strategy related to career services on campus) are encouraged to attend.
The Career Everywhere Roadshow events are unequivocally not just for uConnect customers. Programming will focus on strategies and tactics that help make Career Everywhere a reality, which includes topics beyond the scope of uConnect. An example of some of the topics that we plan to cover include:
- Developing your institutional landscape analysis, influencing other stakeholders across campus, and managing change
- Scaling engagement with career services
- Equitably serving and engaging with underrepresented student populations
- Engaging families with career services
- Strategically and proactively partnering with admissions
- Treating your website as an extension of your staff
- Embedding career into the classroom
In short, this is a great event for any career services leader who has a desire to embed career into all facets of the student journey, well beyond the walls of the career center.
The Career Everywhere Movement is intended to amplify and support the work of forward-thinking career services leaders who are committed to embedding career into classrooms, across campus, and beyond, so more students have access to the resources they need to build meaningful careers.
We, along with hundreds of other career leaders and practitioners, unequivocally believe that a Career Everywhere approach to career services, which is largely predicated on shifting the role of career services from provider to facilitator, is critical to the future success and impact of the career services industry.
Those who attend a Roadshow event will learn the philosophy behind Career Everywhere and build out a playbook for implementing strategies and tactics for their specific campus (because each institution’s circumstances and goals are unique—no one-size-fits-all approach here). Sessions will be led by actual career services leaders who have successfully implemented Career Everywhere-aligned strategies, and in doing so, are seeing tangible increases in engagement with career resources. And, most importantly, are creating a campus culture focused on career readiness.
Career Everywhere is how we’ll all collectively develop the next generation of prepared, diverse leaders. But don’t just take our word for it. Be sure to share the Career Everywhere Movement overview page so your leadership can hear directly from other career leaders about what it means.

We’ll follow all state and local guidelines/policies for COVID-19 precautions.
You might notice we refer to our upcoming event as the “Boston Roadshow” but it’s actually being held on the MIT campus, located in Cambridge. Generally speaking, people refer to the Boston/Cambridge area as Boston, but locals know (and will tell you!) that they are indeed two separate places!
